A dream gone by

Started,

the studying,

preparation for a dream.

Progress though sparse,

revealed a strategy.

Application when exercised,

uncovered enjoyable stream,

but this hope was suddenly crushed,

by a gargantuan entity.

Watching while hurting,

a little fish swallowed by a whale,

and all the hopes and dreams of many

cease to exist;

curtailed.

Heart to Heart ~ connected

My heart beats,  so does yours,

Inside our chests, an invisible string,

~ connected ~

My heart hurts, then so does yours,

Inside our chest, an invisible string,

~ broken ~

Your heart hurts, then so does mine,

Inevitably,

with the passage of time.

Our hearts beat,

in unity,

through pleasure and pain,

our hearts agree.

When you hurt, I feel your pain.

When I’m happy, you laugh again.

My heart beats, then so does yours,

heart to heart,

~ connected ~

The Depth of Me

The depth of me you couldn’t see,


not in a month, a week, a year.


The depth of me can only be,


reached with a key and an invitation to the door,


It’s clear.


The depth of me contains a well,


that houses all the rippling waters.


Inside the well, it’s clean & clear


though sometimes murky clutters.


The lessons learned through out life’s journey


hover around & sway, 


Inside the well, the depth of me


dwells comfortably,  all day.

Yes, he said,


No, she replied,


Yes, she said,


No, he sighed,


Yes, he said,


No, she persisted,


Yes, she said,


No, he insisted,


Yes, he said,


No, she declared


Yes, she said,


No, he dared,


Yes, he said,


No, she ventured,


Yes, she said, 


No, he whispered,


Sigh, said he,


Sigh, she responded,


They turned to face each other slowly,


They eyes filled with longing,


He reached out his hand,


She put her hand in his,


Yes, they said together,


Let the games begin.
